Accessibility
Updated October 17, 2026
We want every student to be able to use Teach Me 1600, including people who use a screen reader, a keyboard, zoom or other assistive tools. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, level AA.
What we do
- Extra time: if College Board gave you 1.5× or 2× time, pick it under Account. SAT pace and the timed checks use your time.
- Clock: you can hide the clock in practice. Practice never ends because of time.
- Screen readers: buttons and answer choices have names, and the page tells you when an answer is right or wrong.
- Keyboard: everything works with Tab and Enter, and you can always see which control is selected.
- Contrast and size: text meets AA contrast in light and dark mode, and the layout works from small phones to large screens and at 200% zoom.
- Motion: if your device asks for reduced motion, animations are turned down.
- Checks: every release is tested with an automated accessibility scan before it goes live.
Known gaps
- Some math questions use a graph. They have a text description, but they are harder with a screen reader alone.
